LEtterman eligibility 

Requirements

Like many school organizations, you must fulfill certain requirements to be eligible for a Band Letterman Jacket. This ensures that all students who purchase letterman jackets are fully contributing band members that uphold the Bulldog Band WITH PRIDE!!!

There are two separate lists of requirements for Instrumental Band members (Woodwinds, Brass, and Percussionists) and then Guard (Color Guard / Winter Guard). You will find the two requirement lists for Band Letterman Jacket eligibility below:

• Instrumental Band Members (Woodwinds, Brass, and Percussion)

  • • • Must fully participate in three marching band seasons in the Fall semester by attending rehearsals, games, pep rallies, performances, concerts, and contests.

      • Must fully participate in two Concert and Sightreading seasons in the Spring semester by attending rehearsals, games, pep rallies, performances, concerts, and contests.

      • Must receive two 1st division ratings at UIL Solo & Ensemble Contest of two different classifications.

      • Students who audition for the TMEA State Concert Band AND place at the Region, Area, or State level will automatically 

• Guard (Color Guard / Winter Guard)

  • • • Enrolled in the color guard class for minimum of 5 consecutive semesters (2.5 years)

      • Performed in outdoor marching season, minimum of 3 marching seasons

      • Performed in indoor season, minimum of 2 season

      • Has maintained UIL eligibility for a minimum of 4 semesters (3 grading periods per semester, grade 70+ each period)
