Summer / Marching Band Attire
The goal for your Summer / Marching Band Attire is to cool while outside and maintain mobility like your marching band Uniform. This is why bigger and bulkier clothes like denim, dress/skirts, and other non-athletic clothing isn't recommended. Summer / Marching Band Attire includes
Bright Colored Athletic Shirt
Bright colors keep you cooler
Athletic Shorts, or leggings / sweat (when weather is colder)
Keeps you cool and mobile
Athletic Sneakers
Prevents / minimizes injuries
Athletic shoes that don't twist easily are probably better
Find a list of shoes recommended by Drum Corps International (Marching Arts Major League)
Hat, Sun hat, or Visor
Keeps the sun out of your face to keep you cool
Sunglasses
Keeps the sun out of your eyes
Insulated Athletic Water Jug
At least half a gallon (64oz)
Bring it even when it gets cooler
ONLY PUT WATER IN IT AND MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN IT.
DON'T SHARE YOUR WATER JUG. IT SPREADS GERMS!
Other Attire Considerations:
Attire should align with district / campus dress guidelines
No Jewelry or accessories of any kind, no exceptions for your safety. This includes but is not limited to:
Large ear rings and piercings (Preferably none),
watches,
rings,
bracelets,
necklaces
No long flashy nails. Especially for percussionists and drum majors.
Marching Band Uniform
All Students will be fitted for a Marching Band Uniform. We will take your measurements during our Band Registration Day, or once we meet you. Marching Band Uniforms ("Full uniforms") will be worn after the first few games once the summer heat begins to cool down. Marching Band Uniforms includes:
School Owned Marching Uniform Parts. These items are stored at the school. Personally make sure you have all parts of these before leaving for a performance:
Bibbers (they're like overalls)
Uniform Jackets
Shako (hat)
Shako cover
Plum (feathers that go on top of the Shako)
Arm Bands
Side Cape
Uniform Parts purchased with Band Dues. These go home with you. Bring them to every performance day:
Black Athletic Band Shirt
Band Uniform Gloves (only Wind Players and Drum Majors)
Marching Uniform Shoes (Dinkles)
Uniform Parts purchased on your own. These go home with you. Bring them to every performance day:
Black Tank Top / Muscle Shirt
Ladies will also need a Black Sports Bra
Fitted Running Shorts
Doesn't have to be biker shorts
Just loose fitting shorts that aren't too baggy and can't distort the shape / form / fit of the bibbers
Black Crew Length Socks
No color / white designs or logos
FULLY BLACK

Black shorts length and design should align with district / campus dress guidelines

Have your hair neatly put / held up
Natural Make-up.
No long flashy nails. Especially for percussionists and drum majors.
You can only consume water in uniform unless permitted otherwise by the director in charge.
no food, snacks, or candy of any kind
no juice, soda, energy drinks, etc.
Do not sit on grass, dirt, concrete, or the ground in general while in uniform. This keeps the uniform clean and in good condition.
No horse playing in uniform, or in general.
Hang your uniform parts Properly on a sturdy hangers.
Keep all uniform parts clean and accessible. Be responsible don't lose parts of you uniform.
Concert Black Attire
All Students will need to have these clothing items on hand for various formal performances. Students will need to purchase these items themselves. Concert Black Attire will be worn for events such as Solo & Ensemble or Pre-UIL Uniforms. Concert Black Attire is still to look formal and uniform, not to stand out. Concert Black Attire includes:
A nice Black polo, button down (Long or short sleeve), or Blouse
Appropriate length Black dress or skirt.
Black Dress pants, Dress / uniform shorts, or formal capris:
Shorts only for non-stage performances
no denim, sweats or joggers, gym or athletic shorts, cargo shorts or pants
Black Crew Length Socks (when not wearing dress, skirt, or capris:
No color / white designs or logos
FULLY BLACK
Black dress shoes or Flats:
These can also be your Marching Uniform Shoes
no footwear with heels greater than 1 inch
no flip flops, crocs, or sneakers
Black belt

If you don't have these items, get what you can, but wear whatever is close to the listed attire.

All Students will be fitted for a Tux or Gown Concert Uniform. We will take your measurements during our Band Registration Day, or once we meet you. The student must stick with the decision that they make year round. Concert Uniforms will be worn for all concerts and concert stage performances. Concert Uniforms includes:
School Owned Concert Uniform Parts. These items are stored at the school. Personally make sure you have all parts of these before leaving for a performance:
Tux
Black Tux Jacket
White Dress shirt
Black Tux Pants
Black Cummerbund (we will give this to you right before the performance)
Black Bow Tie (we will give this to you right before the performance)
Black Studs
Gown
Uniform Parts purchased on your own. These go home with you. Bring them every performance day:
